Warranty / Terms of Sale

Unless otherwise stated all items carry 12 months warranty. We aim to offer high quality, durable products at low competitive prices.

The warranty covers manufacturing faults only and cannot exceed the value / price of the item supplied / purchased.

If you have purchased a Pilates Reformer it will be delivered to you contained in a wooden crate. The delivery is a doorstep delivery, the delivery driver is not insured or equipped to bring the crate or the reformer into your property. If you require delivery where the Reformer is brought into your property then please contact us “prior to purchase” to discuss your requirements. 

You will require a screw driver or a bar to lever the lid off the wooden crate. The edge of the crate may contain sharp metal edges, please take care when removing the wooden lid from the crate. 

DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE CRATE UNTIL YOU HAVE CHECKED THE REFORMER AND YOU ARE HAPPY WITH IT. The wooden crate has a value of £100, in the unlikely event that you decide to return the reformer for a refund it must be contained in its original crate packaging. 

If you fail to return the reformer in its original packaging and crate we will deduct £100 from any refund to cover the cost of the crate.  

It is important that you check the item for any signs of damage within 48 hours of receiving it. We will not accept any claims, either in full or partial, for DAMAGE after you have installed or used an item. Do not  install or use the product unless you are 100% happy with the product. We will not accept any claims once you have used the equipment. 

The warranty does NOT cover the cost of removal or re-installation. The warranty does NOT cover loss of time or loss of earnings.

Modern Fitness (Modern Group Ltd) make no assurances or guarantees as to the suitability of a product for you or your fitness routine. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to check that a product is suitable for your level of fitness and that it is used safely. We will not accept any claims for injuries you sustain whilst using a product or apparatus that we have supplied.

For the avoidance of doubt if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you should not proceed to use it. We offer a 100% satisfaction money back guarantee and we will collect the item and deliver a replacement at our cost.

Should a manufacturing fault, defect or issue become apparent, Modern Fitness (Modern Group Ltd) will repair, replace or refund as appropriate.

Modern Fitness DOES NOT employ on-site engineers, therefore where a part becomes faulty and a replacement part is supplied by Modern Fitness, the customer is responsible for the fitting / installation of the replacement part. In the event that a product requires repair, Modern Fitness will arrange the collection and return of the product / part. In some instances we may ask you to package the faulty item for its safe return to Modern Fitness.

The guarantee / warranty does not cover miss-use of a product, including dropping it. Mis-use or ignorance may lead to injury, for which we will not be held responsible.

Change of Specification:
Modern Fitness (Modern Group Ltd) does not accept any responsibility for minor changes to the specification of a product. This includes small changes to dimensional measurements or colour tone. It is the responsibility of the customer to check that the product can be used safely and within the ability of the user. The warranty does not cover wear and tear or dropping.

The guarantee period becomes active from the date of delivery.

Any damages must be reported by writing within a reasonable amount of time (48 Hours), from receipt of delivery. Modern Fitness will not be held responsible for the cost of any parts that you buy or source yourself from an alternative supplier, in order to meet a shortfall or replace a damaged or faulty item.

Cancellation or Refunds of Bespoke Orders

Bespoke items / parts are deemed as items that are manufactured or sourced to a customer’s specific requirements. The warranty does NOT cover loss of time or loss of earnings. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the measurement or specifications of a bespoke item is to their specific requirements. Modern Fitness makes no assurances to the suitability of a bespoke product. We do not accept returns of bespoke products.
